WHAT ARE OUR CUSTOMERS SAYING?

"The Coffee Trade's whole beans are amazing. The taste is delicious, smooth, and so satisfying. I told them what I normally liked to drink (Starbucks French Roast) and they directed me to their Sumatran Dark Roast. One of the most delicious coffees I've ever experienced. I will absolutely return to The Coffee Trade." - Elizabeth A.

“Love the coffee trade! When I think of Avon this is one of the places that first comes to mind. The place itself is a combination of a coffee and antique shop with a sort of rustic feel. Whenever I come home with friends not from the area, I like to take them here to give them a taste of Avon. I highly recommend coming here for a unique coffee experience and I recommend trying an iced black and white (it's my favorite!!).” – Giselle R.

“I love this place. Very cool. They roast their coffee beans right where you can see. It's a gift/antique shop. My favorite coffee is the iced almond joy latte. Out of this world. The staff is always really nice and welcoming.” – Emma M.

"A hidden gem! Right on route 44 in Avon. On certain days the aroma of coffee beans being roasted fills the air. Great place for coffee. The shop is filled with antiques, there is a cute little room in the back with a few tables and chair where you can sit and enjoy the newspaper with a great cup of coffee and a cookie or two. Favorite spot. There is outdoor seating, a few tables and chairs. Great little gem." - R. Smith

"Great place to grab your favorite caffeinated beverage. Tons of creative concoctions to choose from. You won't find friendlier folks to get your coffee from in the morning." - Chris A.

"I have been going to the Coffee Trade for years. Aside from being outstanding people they have the best coffee around. They roast it in the shop and it's always fresh. I like dark roast and their Mexican dark roast is my favorite. I also get French roast decaf and you can't tell it's decaffeinated by the flavor. They will grind your coffee any way you want it. Their prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality of the coffee." - Andrew D.

"Awesome shop with a variety of dark roasts to satisfy your need. Real , knowledgeable and friendly staff." - Robert F.

"Really like all the specialty lattes they offer...and it's a great place to buy presents for birthdays and holidays." - Ramona A.

"The coffee trade is a quaint little shop that has antiques and others oddities. But the real draw is the coffee. It's roasted right there in the shop and if you're lucky, it will be roasting during your visit. I buy the beans and grind then fresh. There are a variety of flavors and various blends. I highly recommend the place." - Linda S.

"Always amazing and helpful and the coffee is beyond compare. I love how the owner helps mix coffees to find your perfect flavor!" - S.J. R.

"Amazing little coffee shop. Some of the best coffee I have ever had. A number of wonderful blends and flavors to choose from for home use or just grabbing a cup. By far my favorite coffee shop in the Farmington Valley. Friendly and helpful staff makes every trip a delight." - John C.

"Just got a large drip coffee. Their dark roast today was an Italian Roast. So glad I walked from hotel as it’s the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a very long time." - Timothy V.

"I’ve been a customer for 10 years but never thought to go on and write a review. I truly enjoy not only the coffee but the whole experience of coming in to get my coffee. From the friendly greetings, to the lively conversations, to watching the beans get roasted right there in front of you. I always leave happy, well taken care of, and smelling like the best coffee in town! If you’ve never been there you owe it to yourself to try it." - Dr. Michael K.

"Fantastic coffee choices and helpful staff!" - Juliet W.

"Best Coffee Shop on the Planet. Coffee is roasted on-site, it's delicious, the owners know everything there is to know about coffee, and they are fabulous and fun people, and they have organic and water-processed coffees. The tea selection is addictive (try the Harney Hot Cinnamon Spice!). They sell gifts and antiques. They support several causes (be sure to buy the special soaps - what a win/win. The proceeds go to a good cause, and the soaps make great gifts, but you'll want to keep them for yourself). You can sit in the back and do a little work, or have a cuppa with a friend or two. You can be efficient or tarry, you can get a plain coffee or one of a good number of specialty coffees. For home, I get a pound of half regular coffee and half decaf (ground to order, as all their coffee is). I make a pot in the morning, and then use their single cup brewer to make a cup in the afternoon - for a little pick-me-up that doesn't give me the jitters." - Deborah P.

"Awesome place. They have the absolute best coffee I've had since moving to Connecticut 9 years ago. They are better than Starbucks, or any coffee places I've sampled in New Haven or the Farmington Valley. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and although the space for sitting is not as large as Starbucks it is orders of magnitude better. The ambience is wonderful. I almost feel like I should keep this place a secret." - Robert K.

"Absolute best coffee shop... product, people and service... and be sure to take time to enjoy your coffee in Joan's "magic garden."" - George K.

"Best coffee. Great people. Wonderful place. Try the Highlander Grog!!!!!!" - Margaret W.

"My number 1 coffee shop. Coffees are roasted on site, flavored coffees are made with extracts added to beans, not sugary syrups. Daily selections, specialty coffee drinks, teas, coffee and tea accessories available. Walk in the back and relax at a table, antiques for sale in the back rooms." - Michael L.

"The best coffee in the valley and all of Hartford county. Great folks and awesome coffee roasted right there. Every 12th pound is free. I stopped in today for a pound and had the best iced capuccino ever!!" - Nancy J.

"Great coffee. Friendly service." - Don D.

"All coffee is roasted in house. You can see their roaster and it smells amazing. You can buy beans whole or they will grind them for you to any consistency. Cups of coffee are also sold, any style you want. While enjoying coffee you can sit and look around their antique shop. There are a few cozy places to sit inside and a lovely patio outside." - Campbell O.

"Friendly, relaxing (chill) atmosphere, approximately 15 seconds off the highway, plenty of parking. The staff is as good as the food. I live 30 minutes away yet I come here several times a month." - Paul N.

"They sell a broad variety of coffee beans (optionally ground), all roasted in house; chances are that you will smell a batch that's roasting when you are there. They also sell brewed coffee (type changes from day to day) and espresso drinks, a few snacks (biscotti, etc.) some coffee filters, and an interesting collection of antiques. We've tried every roaster we could find in the area. Coffee Trade has more coffees that fit our taste than anyone else. Highly recommended." - Lofty B.
